There are 18 flat surfaces on this bead...6 around the outer edge, then 6 facets on the top and 6 facets on the bottom!!  This is a fun shape and can really play with the light, especially with transparent glass or a nice reduction on the surface. Depending how heavy handed you are with the firepolishing will depend how pronounced those facets are.

The finished beads measure 24.5mm (1") hole to hole and mm at the thickest point in the center.

The press works best with 1/16th or 5/64th mandrel.  If you work primarily with 3/32nd mandrels you can select that modification, which we will provide at no charge.
